As a result there was a long line, that moved slowly and had many people waiting with walkers and canes, obviously uncomfortable. On a busy Friday night, they only one person working at the area where you get your card and any extra play. The non-smoking rule in the very small areas designated for this is not enforced. It is so smokey that you smell like cigarette smoke until you shower and wash your clothes. The casino is beautiful, big and has a great staff. This is status quo for many large casino/hotels. Most times you are pretty far from your room/car/etc.The main tower hotel is a decent walk to get to the elevator bank. Most casinos are offering blackjack with a fun 'sidebet' Turning Stone does not - straight up blackjack only. And the smoke seems to blow around a bit instead of straight up to the ventilation system. Not sure how they can better control that, but it is.
The rooms are just as nice as Mohegan Sun Cons It is smoky in there.
Great selection of table games and slots - everything I wanted in there The dealers were fun, talkative and friendly. NOTE - the casino is alcohol free - that's why 18-21 can gamble. Many reviewers make the mistake of reviewing a casino hotel based on how they did in the casino - I broke even, so this review is casino winning agnostic :) Pros - 18+ to gamble - I have a 19 year old son and it is fun to go to a decent, upscale resort casino with him before he is 21.
